"Largest Welly Boot Race" EVER and
In May 2007 Kidney Kids Scotland
became the Guinness World Record holders for the "Largest Wellington Boot Race”
we had a massive 1022 participants all running just over 1 mile (1.6km) in
their Welly boots. It was a fantastic day and raised an amazing £10,000 for the
charity. The record has since been broken by The City of Ketchikan (USA) in Ketchikan, Alaska, USA, on
18 May 2013 involving 1,976 participants. Kidney Kids Scotland will attempt to
reclaim our record on Friday 5th September 2014 and bring it back to SCOTLAND!!
Wallace high school has been a fantastic support to Kidney Kids Scotland in the past and have agreed, along with their primary feeder schools - Bridge of Allan Primary, Fallin Primary, Cornton Primary, Raploch Primary and Riverside Primary to help the charity reclaim this Guinness World Record. Our aim is to have approximately 2300 participants and would love to have your support.
