Kidney Kids Scotland

Family weekend—16-18th October 2009

In October of last year Kidney  Kids Scotland held a Family Weekend at Dunblane Hydro Hotel.

This weekend gave the 26 families who attended a chance to mix with other families who have similar issues.

It was also an opportunity for them to learn through the workshops made available to them on the Saturday. These workshops were run by Consultants and other medical professionals who very kindly gave up their time to help the families be better informed about   their child’s illness. Apart from the educational aspect it was a real chance for them to enjoy time “just as a family” in the wonderful surroundings of Dunblane Hydro. They swam, saw a fantastic magic show, enjoyed a disco and the wonderful food served all weekend
