Book sale: get your friends and family to donate unwanted books and hold a book sale, a nice idea for the garden on a sunny day

Ceilidh – hold a ceilidh for charity

Climb a hill or many hills – do you own challenge or sign up to one of our ready-made challenges

Cocktail night: mix things up with charity cocktail evening

Coffee morning: get together for a chat and enjoy a cuppa and cake while raising money

Cycling – Kidney Kids has a virtual 20 mile challenge you can sign up to !

Clothes Swap:  Host a clothes swap and sell tickets to attend.  A whole new wardrobe for the price of a ticket!

Dancing : see who can last the longest on the dancefloor in a charity dance marathon

Darts: organise a charity darts competition at your local pub or even in your house if you have a dart board!

Dinner party: pick a theme and host a charity dinner party

Dress down day – get the office to take part in a dress down day, donating a small amount each to Kidney Kids

Dress in Kidney Kids Colours – we are all about the blue and yellow – turn your office or school into sea of blue and yellow for the day

Eurovision party: great fun to host with friends representing different countries

Fancy dress day: hold a fancy dress day at school or work for a donation

Fashion show: rock your best outfits in a local charity fashion show

Film night: host your own film night, you can even get creative with themes such as a Bond Night 😊

Football match: see who will score the winning goals in a charity game

Hiking:  take on a hike.  There are lots of well marked hikes in Scotland (Fife Coastal Path, West Highland Way, Great Glens, Pilgrim Way)

Hour of earnings: challenge your colleagues and the bosses to donate an hour of their earnings – a great one to do for World Kidney Day

Jam making or chutney making: try your hand at making some jam or chutney at home to sell

Jigsaw puzzle marathon: see who can complete the most puzzles fastest

Jumble sale: see what old or unwanted items you have lying around to sell

keepy uppy: who will keep the ball up in the air the longest?

Las Vegas night: enjoy a glitzy Vegas casino themed evening

loose change collection: ask people to donate any loose change they have

Makeover: ask people to donate skills for hairdressing, manicures, etc.

Mobile free day:  Ask everyone to go without phones for a full day.  A great challenge for the teens in your life.          

Murder mystery party: find out who done it at a murder mystery night.  Packs can be found online.

Nail art: raise money through creating beautiful nail art on people

Needlework sale: create some impressive needlework you can sell

Obstacle course: see who can complete the obstacle course fastest

Open mic night: let anyone take to the stage in an open mic event

Original recipe contest: bring out your best recipes to be crowned winner

Outdoor theatre: hold an outdoor theatre show with entry fee – great one to get the kids to organise.  All you need is a little bit of garden and a lot of imagination

Penalty shootout: step up to the line for a penalty shootout tournament

Plank / press up challenge: see who has the strength to hold out the longest

Poker night: all money won in the game gets donated to charity

Quickest time contests: see who can complete a task the fastest.  The tasks you can use for this are literally as long as a piece of string

Quiet hour: challenge people to stay quiet for an hour, donate for every noise.  Challenge the kids on this one 😊

Quiz night: test everyone's knowledge with a quiz night to raise money for charity
