The Westfield Health British Transplant Games
NOTTINGHAM
1st to 4th August 2024.
The British Transplant games were launched in 1978 and are hosted annually in cities all over the UK. The games demonstrate the benefits of organ transplantation, encouraging transplant patients to regain their fitness.
The games also aim to increase public awareness of the NHS Organ Donor Register in the hope that more people join and discuss their wishes with their families
Each year Kidney Kids Scotland support a team to take part in the British Transplant Games. These incredibly brave children have lived on a daily basis with hospital appointments and medical treatment. Having had a transplant they find that they can now live a normal life - and take part in sports just like other children. Competing in the Games is a chance for these youngsters to show that their condition is no barrier to achievement. It is an incredibly uplifting and rewarding experience for all of those taking part.
The Games are not only a wonderful experience for all of those taking part, but it is an inspirational event that gives hope for all of those children still waiting on a transplant who aspire to take part one day themselves...and of course to lead a 'normal' life!

Your Sponsorship money is used to help provide the Team with all of their kit - trainers, bags, cups, t-shirts, shorts as well as contributing to the costs of transport and accommodation. Over the years we have received fantastic support from the Scottish business community with many companies supporting the team by sponsoring the kit or making a donation towards accommodation or transport. In return we ensure all of the kit and materials have the logo of the sponsors clearly printed.
Thousands of people attend the games and a host of celebrities publically endorse the Transplant Games every year. In addition the games receive substantial coverage across: Radio, Press, Online Social media and TV.
