LIAM'S STORY

"I would love to show my appreciation for everything the team done for me at Yorkhill hospital and the new Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow, primarily Diane king.  I would like to think of a way to thank her as I never had the chance to.  Diane was there for me from day one to when I left to go to adults.

Diane is not just a nurse but an inspiration.  I have met many nurses and doctors in my life and Diane and Dr Ian Ramage stand out from them all.   I was a very reluctant child and suffered badly with mental health.  Many people told me due to not going to school and being in a bad place that I would never be able to accomplish my dreams, however I am now a second year nursing student and would like to show my appreciation to them and the team.

Kidney kids also helped me massively.  I had the pleasure of going on two trips to the Transplant Games.  Its very humbling to know that there are people and charity’s out there whose main goal is to help and support.

Kidney Kids kindly payed for me to have 5 driving lessons now it has been 4 years since I passed and I have never been able to say thank you so to kidney kinds thanks for everything you done for me and my family"
