KATRINA'S STORY

"Katrina recently turned 23. She received a kidney from her Dad when she was 5 years old and has had good health ever since. Katrina has completed a HND in Photography and is currently working in a local cafe.

She has attended 11 transplant games over the years, all funded by Kidney Kids. The highlights for her were winning a medal for swimming in North Lanarkshire and all the craziness of being part of the Glasgow Children's Team.

She is grateful for the many other outings she went to organised by Kidney Kids. Life isn't always easy for transplant patients but Katrina wanted to tell her story. She hopes to show newly diagnosed children and parents that a healthy and fulfilled life is possible. She is forever grateful for the dedication shown by all medical staff who helped her in the past and currently."
